Morrisons are getting a snotty email from me because when I went to the bakery department and asked if their soft white burger buns contained milk or dairy, the bloke behind the counter didn't have a clue!
Useless.
Anyway - here's a picture of my Crumpets toasted to perfection and smothered with PURE vegan spread and Marmite.
YUM!
How do you like your Crumpets?
GO VEGAN!
GO MoFo!

It looks too good!
I had never had marmite on crumpets until about 6 months ago when I saw it as a serving suggestion, and now it's my #1 topping for the cushiony loveliness that are crumpets.
What's also nice is tomato ketchup and pure/toffuti slices, popped under the grill until the slice melts... kinda instant mini pizza
My crumpet would have to have some melted vegan margarine! I havent had a crumpet in years though!
I never had crumpets or marmite..it's not something you will ever fin in Brazil..but I'll defintly try this when I travel to london.
I just got into crumpets here!! Mine come from the infamous Trader Joe's here in the states..mine are cinnamon and so lovely with a little melted Earth Balance spread..yum..love that you are doing the same!
Yum, I love crumpets. I always get mine from Sainsbury's, the people behind the bakery counter always seem to know what's vegan...or if not they're able to look it up in their special laminated guide!
I always eat them them with the Pure in the yellow tub.
hahaha I never knew what a crumpet was! Thanks for the lesson :) I would eat yours - looks tasty!
YUM! god I miss crumpets. and morrison's, too. glad to hear you're going to send that email- the employees should know what's in the food!
Oh I LOVE crumpets and just discovered a new topping just last night - peanut butter... yuuuum!
I don't think I've ever tried a crumpet before. The closest I've ever came is an english muffin. I would eat them with strawberry jam. :-)
Sounds good!
What is the difference between a crumpet and an English muffin?
I love crumpets but marmite - Jeni!! What did that poor lil crump do to you to deserve such a fate. Crumpets and golden syrup - yum!
In answer to your question, YES you should watch Gilmore Girls. I'd seen a couple on TV and when I saw season 1 for £8 on amazon I bought it and have pretty much been buying the next season as soon as I'm done. I now have to wait till payday to order S5 though - boo!!!
I've never had a crumpet before. Is it like an English Muffin? Now I want to try one!
Whoa, those look intense!
Mmm I love crumpets! That's another food I haven't had in far too long. I love them with jam though... or simply a nice thick layer of sunflour spread.
I've never had crumpets before! I actually didn't know what they were until recently.
I don't think I've had a crumpet in maybe 13 years, so you're bringing back some good memories. :) I used to always eat them withjam.
Yum! I love crumpets with melted Earth Balance and maybe a bit of strawberry jam. Boring, but delicious.
I heart crumpets. Never have tried marmite, though.
Mm, crumpets! I'm so curious about Marmite but I've yet to try it. If I was going to get a crumpet, it'd probably be procured from my current obsession, Trader Joe's. Then it would be topped with some sweet and spicy pumpkin butter!
i LOVE crumpet!!
but those at the only grocery store in my small village are not vegan, so i buy some vegan one sometimes when i go to montreal.
I usually top them with someting sweet, like agave nectar, hazelnut/chocolate or jam.
but i never had marmite... snif snif...i know i would love this salty goodness.
I wanna try some!!
i freaking love crumpets. i have them with marg and jam. ooo i wish i had some right now. but they never keep me full for long enough
Crumpets... nom nom nom!
I love them with Vegemite, I love them with PB and strawberry jam and I love them with Nuttelex and golden syrup.
For some reason I just can't handle savoury crumpets. Mine have to be sweeeeeet!!! Jam, honey (pre-veg) or plain with marg melting all on top. And I totally have to eat all the fluffy bread off the top first, then attack the bottom bit :P (yes, somehow when it comes to crumpet eating I forgot to grow up).
Those look delicious!
